EnerWorks, a solar thermal technology provider, has appointed Paul Heidesch as director of business development for the Southwestern US.

Heidesch was previously was business development manager for Advanced Solar Integration Technologies, where he focused on new business development in the commercial solar and wind power markets.

Heidesch's responsibilities will include extending EnerWorks' solar water heating technology to residential, commercial and industrial customers. In the commercial and industrial markets, EnerWorks offers turnkey solar thermal solutions.

The company works with local project partners to design, install, commission and maintain alternative energy systems for a full spectrum of commercial, industrial and large-scale residential applications.

The EnerWorks Solar Water Heating Appliances are the first of a diverse range of solar thermal products to be offered by the company. Other product innovations being investigated include integrated solar thermal/photovoltaic appliances, solar monitoring and metering, solar-assisted heat pumps, solar space and pool heating, and solar cooling.
