TCE envisages building a solar thermal power pilot plant in Qatar

TCE Consulting Engineers Limited is to invest $12 million over the next five years at Qatar Science & Technology Park to develop engineering solutions for environmental challenges.

The company, a subsidiary of Indian engineering giant Tata Group, is planning to build a solar thermal power station as a demonstration model before eventually scaling up the blueprint.

The plan is being envisaged as a pilot project.

There are several projects, which are being planned at the centre.

It will focus on software that makes it faster and easier to design "green" buildings apart from creating a blueprint for a solar-thermal power station.

TCE will also use its engineering expertise to find practical applications for novel nanotechnologies.
