Swapnil Wankhede from Lauren Bharat Engineering, Pranav Mehta from National Solar Energy Federation India/Gujarat Solar Industry Association, Sudeep Chakraborty from Godawari Green Energy Limited, Vineet Mitta from Welspun Energy and Dhruv Batra from Cargo Power have been announced as finalists for the Solar Personality Award 2014, the most prestigious honour on offer at this year’s INDIASOL 2014 conference.

The INDIASOL Solar Personality award is specifically designed to celebrate one individual's contribution to the development of the Indian solar industry. Going above and beyond, this person will have demonstrated a commitment to solar this year to help get the industry off the ground in India.

Voting is now open for the award, as the industry is given the chance to select its winner.  At the INDIASOL 2014 Awards ceremony (taking place October 8 at the Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel & Residences), the winner will receive the coveted prize in front of an audience of distinguished industry colleagues.

The reputation and prestige of this award means that all eyes will be on the INDIASOL Awards on October 8, as the industry waits to see who will take home the prize.
