Boralex launches Phase 1 of Seigneurie de Beaupré project

Power producer Boralex has announced the inauguration of the Phase I of the Seigneurie de Beaupré Wind Farms in Canada.

The project has a total contracted capacity of 365 MW. As per the information available, 126 turbines that make up Phase I have been supplying renewable energy to Québec's power grid since they were commissioned in late 2013.

Boralex confirmed the development in conjunction with Gaz Métro and Valener. The 272-MW project was commissioned in December 2013.

The project has a total contracted capacity of 365 MW. As per the information available, 126 turbines that make up Phase I have been supplying renewable energy to Québec's power grid since they were commissioned in late 2013.

The second phase of 68 MW is set to begin operating at the end of 2014. Furthermore, the 25 MW Côte-de-Beaupré wind farm built in partnership by Boralex and the Côte-de-Beaupré RCM is expected to start operating in 2015.
