Milestone for Goole Fields 1 Wind Farm

RWE Innogy UK’s £45mGoole Fields 1 Wind Farm officially opened last week in East Riding of Yorkshire.

The Goole Fields Wind Farm Community Fund, which is due to go live this autumn, will invest in the region of £1.3m over the operational lifetime of the wind farm.

Goole Fields Wind Farm comprises 16 turbines, each standing at 124.8 metres high (from the base to the tip of the turbine blades). According to the company, total investment amounts to £45m.

Community members were provided with information about the Goole Fields Wind Farm Community Fund, which is due to go live this autumn. The fund will invest in the region of £1.3m over the operational lifetime of the wind farm.

It was in September 2010 when RWE Innogy UK received planning permission by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to build a wind farm on a section of land south of the A161, south east of the town of Goole.
