These are the first awards of their kind and the only ceremony in North America to honour wind O&M exclusively. They are intended to celebrate some of the many outstanding achievements and on-going technological excellence the industry has witnessed over the past 12 months.

Managing Director at DWPAA, Carsten Anderson, also commented;

Through the event we’d like to motivate employers to see it makes sense to invest in their workforce, turning new technicians into ‘human assets’ for the future success of O&M"

Given the rate at which the wind industry is tipped to grow – 68.9 GW in 2014 to 104.1 GW in 2020 (GlobalData) and especially the scope for new companies entering the O&M sector – the awards are a welcome addition to the industry.

3. Wind Farm Owner of the Year
4. Wind Turbine Manufacturer of the Year
5. Wind Service Provider of the Year
6. Best Industry Newcomer
